Suggested batteries and chargers for models MA-15 and MA-21

For customers that wish to use NIMH rechargeable batteries we suggest you purchase Energizer brand rechargeable batteries and charger. You can purchase these at Walmart, Home Depot and many other stores.
 

Battery chemistry Features
Alkaline batteries Available everywhere. Lowest cost. Not very good in cold weather.
Nickel-cadmium rechargeable batteries (NICAD) First generation rechargeable. Low energy density. Older technology
Nickel-metal-hydride rechargeable batteries (NIMH) Second generation rechargeable. High energy density. Good in cold weather.
Lead-acid / gel-cell battery (12 volt) Very good in cold weather. Heavy and bulky. Low cost
Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries (Li-Ion) Highest energy density. Very small size. Very good in cold weather. Very expensive.
